Tjerk Metz new Managing Director Air Trade Centre Nederland
On February 1st, 2010 Tjerk Metz (*1955) has started as the new Managing Director of Air Trade Centre Nederland BV, Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, The Netherlands. He will follow up Hans Neeus in that position.
Metz has been employed in order to further professionalize the company and rationalize its product portfolio. Air Trade Centre Nederland would like to increase its market share in its home country. Air Trade Centre Nederland provides the Dutch market with components and devices in the field of ventilation and air conditioning (usually indicated by the English abbreviation ‘HVAC’).
In the past Tjerk Metz worked in management positions in a number of trading companies, lately (5 years) for Econosto Nederland in Capelle aan den IJssel, The Netherlands. He himself says: “All I have done in my working life comes very well together in what I will do at Air Trade Centre Nederland. I know the HVAC sector, and the phenomenon of commercial enterprise very well“.
Also, according to Metz, the developments in the air handling sector are promising. “There is still a lot to gain from a technical point of view. Higher demands are made more and more to the quality of air in buildings, particularly with regard to the prevention of allergies. Furthermore, the HVAC-industry remains to look for possibilities to put the energy consumption of f.e. airco systems downwards significantly. Therefore I foresee an increase of the co-engineering together with our partners. Searching for meaningful ways of cooperation with reputable parties to supply advanced solutions to customers. That has a great future. The environment and climate are good reasons to further improve our products. It would save the building industry as well as the customer a lot of costs if we, together with the installer and by using our expertise, are involved in the building process in an early stage”.
